Ever since he was a child Luke had been extremely artistic and creative. During his school years he nurtured his abilities and soon became a talented artist winning multiple titles and awards. While in High-School he was introduced to the field of Graphic Design and decided this was the path for him.
In college Luke was introduced to User Interface Design quite by accident. One of his assignments in a computer animation class he was taking was to create a UI piece similar to a digital magazine (think Launch). He loved it and was instantly hooked.
And then came the internet. During Luke's first job at a design firm the Principal approached him one day and said "One of our [big] clients needs a website. I need you to design it. Oh, and you'll need to program it as well." Designing it would be easy, but programming it? Luke had never touched a line of code in his life, but his strong work ethic wouldn't allow him to say no. So he burried his head in a lot of books and learned how to program

websites from scratch.
Fast forward a few years. Luke was now quite experienced with web design and development. But something was happening. The web was starting to get a lot more complex, browser capabilities were escalating and there was much more there for the user to digest. Websites were no longer just a few pages with tabs at the top. Around this time Luke started to seriously study Usability Engineering.
Fast forward a few years more. By this time Luke had designed and engineered a great number of interfaces. And no longer website, but things like DVD menu's and web applications. Web applications were what really interested him. They were always a formidable challenge of his skills and always kept him on his feet.
Today Luke enjoys creating User Interfaces which exhibit strong usability principles and at the same time are clean and nice to look at.
